Aziz Ansari new stand-up comedy special premieres on Friday, March 6. The comedian will be back on Netflix with the special called “Aziz Ansari: Live at Madison Square Garden”. In the special Ansari addresses a range of topics ranging from gender equality to relationships to American immigration, in front of a sold-out crowd at Madison Square Garden, New York.
Ansari is known for his first Netflix standup comedy “Buried Alive”, which is currently streaming on Netflix worldwide. He also has several standup comedy specials like “Dangerously Delicious”, “Intimate Moments for a Sensual Evening”. These are available in the following Netflix territories: U.S, Canada, U.K, Ireland and the Nordics
“Buried Alive”, his first standup with Netflix and his most recent special explored topics such as marriage, racial stereotypes, adulthood and difficulties of raising a child in the modern age. It was filmed in Philadelphia and clearly it shows great growth from his previous specials. The comedian has television role in NBC’s “Parks and Recreation “as Tom Haverford. The series is airing its season finale.
This new special has seen the comedian rise to the ranks of comics such as Kevin Hart, Chris Rock, Eddie Murphy and Louis C.K. The special will be another huge win for Netflix. There is not much completion in the comedy industry since HBO and Comedy Central do not release comedies as often as they used to. Netflix has now become best option for comedians to get their work out to the world. Exposure by Netflix too is a win for the comedian.
The special will be available for streaming across all Netflix territories.
